Your photos of Beijing and Shanghai have got me looking forward, even more,
to our trip to both these cities in August. :)

  3. Very nice.

I was in The Peoples Republic of China for many months, teaching and working
in 1982 to 1985. Unfortunately, I did not have the luxury of travelling much
at that time, my presence being tightly monitored and controlled. I have
been to many of the places you have very nice pictures for and it is good to
see that they have been restored to their former glory as true cultural
    treasures.

When I was in Beijing, there were still signs of the 1976 earthquake all
over the place, in which more than 650,000 people died.

I am amazed at Shanghai. When I was there, there were no buildings more than
3 stories in height, so the night skyline picture you have of the modern
towers is just stunning to me.
