    Hi all

I've been very slack on the SI participation front recently, partly due
to some horrific work commitments and partly due to a (much needed)
holiday I took to Melbourne and along the Great Ocean Road (that'll be
    Australia for the geographically challenged)
Many thanks to Andrew (Mr Blobby) for emailing me with a list of some
cool places to visit. I managed to get to some of them but others will
have to wait until the next time I'm over - next year sometime probably.

Anyway for your interest or otherwise here are some photos I took while
    I was there.

as always, positive and negative comments are most welcome.

Now I'll get my finger out and start taking some SI shots again - and
perhaps even a late entry for the SI Rogues Gallery :)

Great pictures, Nick. I really need to get away from the states one day
and visit the land down under one of these days. Do they drink as much
Fosters down there we do here? The Koala shots are breathtaking! Was
these shots taken at a zoo, or in the wild?
The only negative feeling I am experiencing from your photos is jealousy!
Great! There are some good mandates on the floor. A few of the mandators
went on vacation for the holidays and posted their mandates early. I hope
my buddy Blobby is not pissed at me because I missed his. I will probably
make it up and submit a "Time Lapse" photo for the wildcard.

    Current mandates on the floor:

Mandate 16 "Tabletop" by Jim Kramer: (Due Dec 21)

Mandate 18 "Wildcard" by Richard Cockburn: (Due Jan 4)

Mandate 18 "Femme Fatale" by Leroy Jolicoeur: (Due Jan 11)

And if you have the time, check out the [SU] activity as well:
First Koncept "Kandid Camera" (Due Dec 28)

Thanks, the Koala shots were taken at a place called Tower Hill State
Game Reserve in Victoria. I suppose that's somewhere between the a zoo
and the wild, although closer to the later.

I believe that seeing Koalas up in trees is fairly common throughout
much of Australia. I felt quite lucky to see one relaxed and eating on
the ground. To give an idea of the distance, I used a 135mm lens mounted
    to a 300D so I that's the equivalent of a 210mm on a 35mm camera.
