Since Scott will never get to see a hummingbird up close and personal.
Remember to crank up the amp and hook an unshielded wire to the input for
the full effect, and maybe someone can smack you with a feather duster too.
    :)

I've got a video I shot with my Canon XL-1 at 1/15,000 sec.
It did a pretty good job of freezing the wings on the still frames.
I'll try to find it and do some video captures.

Of course, Noons claims you can freeze them at only 1/200 sec, but
apparently he's the only one in the world who has managed that trick.

The only one making wild claims is you, haven't you
    noticed, LIAR?

There's no humming birds in Australia.

    Hey Jim,

    Much thanks, a great photo.

We do get so see hummingbirds from time to time since we do get to the
    mainland now and then.

We do have bumblebees that are about the size of a hummingbird

    By canoe right? :)

I'm still waiting for one of the males to really display before I get too
excited. It is easy shooting though, sitting in a chair, sippin' a drink,
even got the big box fan out for some artificial breeze...

Forget the bumblebees, you have sea turtles. :)
