    There's more internal luminance of the flowerets and the shadows cast by the
    dew are not as dense against the floweret's petal. This looks like a fine
    B&W still life because that's what I intended in post. The histogram of the
    unedited images was basically a nice inverted U from the 50% to the 75%.
    Then I stretched it out with levels. Shooting IR the post processing either
    makes or breaks the image. This, as a 16x20 print, took first at the local
    camera club; entertainingly the other two prints I submitted took second and
    third.

    Eventually I'm going to work up the nerve to throw away some money on some
    of Ilford's SFX...

    Congrats Jim! I've never seen an IR floral macro either. It's
    delightfully different.
