Zoo trip - I was astounded at the number of 5D's and pretty white
lenses people were totting around the place. A great low light camera
to be sure, as it was overcast 90% of the time we were there.

For the record, the tropical frog exhibit was disappointing (My main
    reason for the trip.)

Yeah, some nice images there Jim, shame about the frog exhibit, some of them
can look stunning on film (or sensor lol)

Have you tried shooting the elephants at the NC zoo from the new rhino
overlook? It puts you kind of downhill, and you can camouflage the berm
around the east side of the elephant habitat, behind the grass.

Shoot with a reasonable tele, and you can't tell they're in a zoo.

Sorry 'bout the late reply, but I gave this group a rest for a while.

I haven't been down to that section yet. It's hard to stay still long
with the little man in tow.

Leave this group for a bit, but aren't you worried about MI5 stalking
    you? ;-)

Not particularly. It'd give me something to do on weekends.

  7. If they'd only take a picture or two of them and post it, they'd be relevant
    to the group...:^)

If any of what was said was true; we'd never hear about it again...
