    Hi:

I captured the video using Sonic MyDVD with the help of Adaptec's
Videoh product. The video clips (MPEG-2) plays back with no problems
*(I mean no Video, Audio sync problems)*. I then purchased Pinnacle
Studio 8 software and dragged these clips to make my own DVD. These
clips by the way plays well with no problems in the preview mode of
Pinnacle but when I try to Make Movie using [8000 Kbits, MPEG Audio]
settings the resulting DVD has the Video, Audio out of sync problems.

I read some of the suggestions made by other users on this group and
carefully deleted clips with no Video but still no use.

Am I missing anything? Why does preview and end result of burning the
disc differ in Pinnacle? [What you see is not what you get sometimes?]

Thanks for any help [as I tried to do this 3 times already]

Pinnacle Studio 8 has a few OOS issues.
In my experience the latest version (8.8.17) has more OOS problems than
any other version. (Should never have made it out of beta)

Generally, using MPEG video as the source can increase the chances of
OOS. If possible, try AVI as your source.

You know what... that's exactly what I did in the end. The problem is
I wanted to add some transition effects and my own titles etc. so I
used Pinnacle. Anyway, I am off to try the ULead DVD Workshop soon,
hope it works as I was told in this news group.

    Thanks for the responses.
