Here's a message I've just posted to the pinnacle support board - in a
nutshel, I am having terrible problems getting Studio AV/DV to work
correctly. I'm wondering if someone here can help me.

After my initial installation (on win2k pro, BTW), digital video
capture worked well and I successfully burned a DVD.

When I wanted to try analog capture, I found that the device Studio
AV/DV had an "!" in device manager. I corrected this by running
pcblendpci.exe from the CD, following a suggestion on this forum (BTW,
I know my card is the Bender one, since it has just the one chip, and
is the same length as a PCI slot).

So I then had analog capture working. However Studio no longer
recognized my DVD drive as being a dvd writer. I followed some
instructions on this forum to uninstall, clean the registry, and then
reinstall. So now I can burn DVD's again, but I once again have the
"Cannot start device" problem for Studio AV/DV, and this time I can't
    correct it.

Please, can someone give me step by step, idiot-proof, instructions
telling me what to do? I have spent a lot of time removing devices,
running installers and rebooting, and I have no more ideas.

Perhaps try running the AV/DV hardware installer:

Thanks Will, but it turns out that there are two versions of the
AV/DV. There's the first one, and the second, which uses a single
chip called "Bender". For that one, you're supposed to run
PCBendPCI.exe. I found this out on the pinnacle support site. That's
what I initially did to make it work.
