    Hi,

Are you living in Europe and are you considering to get an
account with Pixmania? Don't do it!

Some time ago I took an account with Pixmania in order to
buy a camera from them. The price was higher then announced
because of an unexpected additional charge, so I did not
finish my order. Since that time I get spam from them.
I asked them to cancel my account and to stop the spam,
but it did not help. Emails containing menaces did not either.

Why do people do this towards other people? I have no problem
with "normal" spam, it originates from criminals using internet
for their purposes, but I wonder what is the business model of
a regular firm that uses the same methods?

Are you living in Europe and are you considering to get an
Old news to me, they were on a consumer program in national television in
Denmark (about a year ago or so), I'm amazed again and again to see how
people get ripped off by them despite the bad reputation...

Some of the program was about how they refused to refund in full and the
refund they gave was a gift-certificate to their own store, no money back! -
The gift certificate was even time limited to 30 days (which they didn't
    state very clear in e-mails).

AVOID pixmania at all costs... They're not even THAT cheap!

Why don't you just mark their mail as 'spam' in your email client.

That doesn't help: they send their mail from different addresses.
