Another case of someone standing up to Mr Morgan and getting 'plonked' for
showing Morgan up as the foolish idiot he is proving himself to be.

Welcome to the Tony Morgan kill-file, you are in fine company friend! Take
comfort from the fact that there are so many of us in here that this
newsgroup is now virtually invisible to Tony. Relax and enjoy the serenity.

I've read the thread, checked the headers and done the research. Tony, you
are so wrong it's laughable. Lost Soul did not write that post and either
you know it or your knowledge of usenet is sub-newbie.

The author of that post was Chad (or Celtic King pretending to be Chad).
Both these posters are well known trolls who regularly flame each other with
forged headers. Their trolling has resulted in the effective closure of a
    number of newsgroups.

As you said Tony, it's there for all to see and all can see that you are
wrong. Be a man and apologise.

Is it my news server or has Mr Morgan become very quite over the last 36 hrs
    or so ?...

  6. The last word I had from him was "!Plonk" at 01.11 this morning.
That's the first time I've ever uttered that word on newsnet. It's
always seemed to me that to tell the world that you have kill-filed
someone indicates an excessively self-important view, as if anyone
    else would care.

Oh Malcolm, it's so much more than that. It terminates the conversation,
it allows you to think that you have the last word, it lets the other
person know that there's no point in replying. It's a statement. I'm
gonna get me some t-shirts printed, and sell them at £15 a pop.... bet I
    make loads. :)

It's also the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and singing
    "Nah, nah, I'm not listening."

You miss the point of kill-filing. It's used for those who make *no*
constructive contribution to the newsgroup to clear the clutter (and
often that's the only thing that they do post - clutter).

If people do object to my posts, it always begs the question as to why
    don't they simply kill-file *me*.

Nothing to do with the "last word". If they are kill-filed they can
continue posting their clutter to their hearts content - it just allows
me the choice of whether or not I have to continue to listen to
    misinformation and abuse.

Hmm, does this mean you should kill-file yourself? What a dilemma!

No, it allows you to think you know what you are talking about - you never
hear anyone correcting your miss information...
Because some don't want your 'Morgan myths' to go un challenged and taken
    as gospel by newbies...
Or see that you are wrong and have given out miss leading information -
which is the point at which you seem to kill file people, when they are
showing you up as the ignorant, big headed, ego driven person you are !

And so it came to pass that Tony looked upon His barren newsgroup and saw
    that it was good.
