I have done my capture ...and have gone through it frame by frame....and
jotted down the imperfect frames numbers.......There is only one or two
every few minutes........Now I presume I can delete one frame and replace it
with the frame before it or after it.....

Is there a simple technique on how best to do this on say Virtual Dub.....I
can think of some methods like image sequencing that may enable me to do it
but I may be wasting my time......SO any tips on what I should do would be
    gratefully received..
    Thanks BC.

One simple way to do this is with Avisynth:

    FreezeFrame(BadFrame, BadFrame, GoodFrame)

For instance, to replace frame 1567 with frame 1568, you would do

    FreezeFrame(1567, 1567, 1568)
