Power supply for Canon G6

Hello,
I'm interested in buying the new Canon G6. I am a frequent traveller, so I
want to use my camera and recharge the battery in places with different AC
power outlets. I consulted the Canon specs but they all refer to the locally
sold version only. Apart from using the appropriate power plug adaptor, can
I use the american camera charger in Europe and vice versa?

The G6 comes with Canon's CG-580 charger. While it does have the U.S.
standard, two-prong AC plug on it, it indicates it will work within a range
of 100 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. So it should work in Europe with no problem.
You will need to buy a few plug adapters, but they're inexpensive. There
used to be a place over there that used D.C., instead of A.C. That would be
a problem. But I doubt if they still use it. The battery last forever.
Wouldn't hurt to buy a spare battery though, just to be safe.
