Premiere Pro- Audio must reconform every time when moving a project from one pc to another?

I often use my Win XP laptop as a second editing workstation for
Premiere Pro 1.0, and even finish a long project on it. But when I
want to hook up the external hard drive that holds all the files to my
Win XP desktop pc and, say, output to the tape deck, it always
reconforms the audio. Is there a way to keep this from happening? One
other poster suggested that the drive letters had to be the same
between the two pc's to avoid the audio reconforming process, but it's
a little impractical to rename my drives every time since I have so
many attached to both computers with multiple projects on them. Any
    other suggestions?
