Now for the second time in a few days, I have had a Premiere Pro 1.0
project file get corrupted. This after almost a year of succesfully
using Premiere 6.5 and Pro without incident. This second time I have
again gotten the dreaded "Project Appears To Be Damaged" error message
on a completely different computer and different hard drive and
different project from my incident the other day. Unfortunately,
despite learning my lesson the other day, my employee didn't back up
his work to multiple project files, meaning that the video he was
working on last night has to be re-edited from scratch all over again.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Because it's a different
computer and hard drive and project, I can only imagine that this is
either some bizarre coincidence that won't get repeated or more
likely, I or we are somehow causing this to happen. Does anyone have
any experience with this or suggestions?

You have to develop a discipline of very regular backups as anyone who
works seriously with computers must. Try Adobe's technical support if
you expect a bug in the program. Giving the exact procedure that leads
to this malfunction will then be of great value.
