printing from transparencies

Discussion in 'Photography' started by Kerry Milford, Oct 23, 2003.

  1. Ca someone confirm or deny an old adage that I am not sure is true anymore
and that is that going from a positive image(transparency) to a positive (a
    print) reduces the resolutiom.
    Any opinions on that?

    thanks

A "print" from anything will have a lower "resolution" than the source image. I think the
question you are really asking should be phrased something like:

Will a print made from a color transparency of an image have better or worse resolution
than a print made from a color negative of the same image?
