    Dear readers,

Is there a way to turn off color management in PS7?

Since I'm not doing anything for print or whoknowswhat, I just want to
see colors with no annoying remapping.

Nothing in Edit/Color Settings, nor anything in View/Proof Setup
really turns it off. The easiest way to tell is by looking at a
simple gradient -- if it's not blending smoothly, color correction is
on. And I can tell. :)

View->Proof Setup->Monitor RGB turns it off for display.
Or your display is set to 16-bit color rather than 24/32-bit color...

    Nothing...really turns it off.
It does not. Are you sure this applies to v7 too? Maybe it needs
extra settings somewhere to work right?
It is not set to 16-bit in my case. (And BTW, 16-bit, even w/o
dithering, looks much better than Photoshop color corrected).

    Does anyone have other suggestions?
