    Hi all,

would you recommend pushing APX100 with Rodinal, following the times given
    at Digitaltruth

(increasing given developing time by a factor)

Or would you use a dedicated developer such as Xtol or Microphen?

I have pushed film with Rodinal, in particular, APX100, but, not the higher
dilutions. I use 1+25. I often shoot the sheet film at 200. No problem.
There is an increase in contrast but not offensive to me. I don't know about
pushing it any further. I would suggest using a faster film if you wanted
    more speed than 200.

  3. I would not 'push' any film, ever. Some developers give a higher
shadow speed (Microphen, Acufine, UFG, etc.). You're ruining the
quality of the film and wasting your precious time.

Use Acutol anyway, it gives finer grain and more shadow speed than

Firstly, I agree with Michael: Never push!
Seondly, Rodinal works better with overexposed films. It's a speed
loosing developer, it has some a characteristic smooth transition from
high to midtones but not shadow areas. you'd better try a
    metol-phenidon-based develper instead.
