Q: nikon f4&lenses

    I have idea to purchased an old F4. I have few old lenses (AI; AIS;
    Nikkor-N; Nikkor-H and Nikkor-Q), and one new - "G" lens 70-300... I'm
    interested will that all lenses work on F4??

    You can use all except the "G" lens. The "G" lens has no aperture
    ring... which you would need with the F4. Be sure that you lock the
    indexer out of the way when mounting the older, NON-AI lenses or you
    might damage the camera. And you will have to do stop-down metering to
    use them.

  3. Actually the "G" lens will work on the F4 but only in P, Ph or S modes.

    Oops. You're right. I guess I usually think of manual mode.
