Question on currency of some Canon EF lenses

I've been comparing Canon's own listing off the web with lenses offered
by suppliers here in the UK.

Some lenses appear to be offered that are not in Canon's list. Could
these be discontinued, or could Canon's list be less than up to date?

    The lenses concerned are:

    90-300mm, f/4-5.6, USM and non-USM
    28-105mm, f/4-5.6, non-USM
    28-200mm, f/3.5-5.6, non-USM.

While I'm here, does any one know what AFD is, in respect of auto-focus?
The way it is listed it is clearly different from USM and MM.

    TIA.

  4. That 28-105 and the 90-300 are recent additions to Canon's budget range so
nay not be on the site yet. The 28-200 has been around for a couple of
years, but like all "superzooms" it's a bit of a dog, so Canon probably
    don't wish to "'fess up"
