Rack Ears + ideas needed! Purchased patch panel w/o rack ears. Need make
shift way or find some rack ears that will work!

I purchased a ADC patch panel (PPI1232RS-MVJT-BK) via Ebay not knowing
the rack ears were'nt included. The 'holes' are 1" apart and are 1" from
the front of the rack. This is a midsize PPI panel. ADC says it looks
like somebody drilled out the weld points on the rack ear and removed
it. I need a make shift way to get it to work w/o spending $115 more on
    a new empty panel.

    ideas?!?

    thanks!

  2. Can you drill appropriate holes in two pieces of what I call 'angle
iron' (preferably made of aluminum) and screw them onto the panels
where the old welds were drilled out?

Too bad they did that. What a PITA...

  3. New idea, possibly better than screws: pop rivets.

BTW - Make sure there's nothing inside close to where the welds were!
