    Bhvideophoto.com sucks

    FYI

    They double billed me and I still don't have the camera even though
    ordered it last week, and expected within 3-5 days.

    2 emails to CS, no response spread over time.

    1 phone call today, can't get thru, 20 minutes on the phone

    This is the site that is the problem

    DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!!

    B&H has one of the best reputations out there.
    I've used them myself several times with no problems.
    I have no doubt that you're experiencing what you say. But your (one)
    bad experience won't wipe out their reputation.

  4. The reason you are having a hard time contacting them is likely
    because so many of us are busy buying things from them. :)

    They have one of the best reputations on the web and your
    complaint is unlikely to have much effect when so many of us
    have spent thousands of dollars there for many years with few
    or no problems.

    Your complaint reflects more on you than it does on B&H.

    Surely that is merely a minor inconvenience.

    Just contact your credit card company and they will charge back the double
    billing

    Sorry Nigel, the authorizations could last for 30 days, thus depriving
    me of the ability to use that space on my card thru the holiday season.
    Very frustrating. And this is only a rant post. Obviously lots of folks
    have had good experience. Basically I had to put a vote up there for
    others to realize all is not rosey(sp?).

    btw, I'm posting up again here in a minute to reflect delivery of the
    product in good condition (just late)

    UPDATE- Product received in good condition. Just late.

    No response from their CS yet.



    oh, and SamSez, shut yer piehole cake boy. Your despoiling of virgin
    goats is getting old.

    gee thanks actually that was rather helpful since my clue i just got
    was that reply to you is rather satisfying.

    I've had bought many thousands of dollars worth of gear from B&H over a
    number of years. They are, without quesiton, the PREMIERE, most reliable,
    most ethical, most honest camera and video mail order shop anywhere. (Well,
    Adorama and J&R are good, too). I've never been double-billed, and I always
    got my gear when promised (usually before). I also find it hard to believe
    you can't get through on the phone. I have, on occassion, returned gear for
    one reason or another, and never, ever had the slightest problem whatsoever.

    As someone else mentioned, if you've had the problems you described in your
    post, you are the 1 in 10,000,000 for whom this is true.

    B&H has, deservedly, the best reputation in the business (their brick &
    mortar store in New York is a blast to visit, too -- a veritable toy store
    for the gadget-minded).
