Does it really piss you people off so much that there's a news group
    you haven't destroyed?

Mr Heslop, that was more than likely a froggery perpetrated by Steve
    'Bowtie' Young.

Having educated you, before I go, let me know which group you're
posting from a perhaps we can organize a scouting expedition to see if
    your froup is worthy.

    TIA

Not 'reduced' to anything. I just don't see why this shit has to
    spread all over usenet.

  6. It doesn't. Just trim out the other NG's, trim the URL, in one reply,
and let it die. - No, that won't guarantee the thread won't be continued
by folks in the other x-posted NGs....but it could help.

It would also mean I wouldn't get an answer. I'd really like one, once
in a while, from these people. I have been a member of a couple of
groups that they have reduced to just rubble. I know I probably won't
get a real answer as I'm not sure any of them know or even care why
they do it, but I know it is more annoying than spam.

Thanks Marg. I'm kind of used to it, as much as you can be. I am
missing some big things though, like having to watch one of my
favourite buildings go up in flames on TV when I should be forcing
myself to make the trip (about ten miles)
to photograph what could be the end of something that has stood for
    over 100 years.

A commendable attitude but difficult to come to I expect.

    I am
    Damn frustrating!

Yep, but like I said, I'm almost used to it, which is probably not a
    good thing.

    Hope you're doing well yourself!

Probably not, but whatever gets you through the day, eh?
Pretty good, thanks! I have 4 grandchildren now and another coming in
August. Plenty to keep an old grandma busy. :)

I seemed to recall the grey and white being the one that died.
It could be anything. It says it could be security, which is possible
    I suppose

It could be something to do with international calls on it, or maybe
even something on my own computer. It wouldn't be the first time it
blocked something and it doesn't bother to tell me why something is
    blocked
