Just wondering if there is a real-time rendering device such as a
matrox card or the like, that will help us with video editing on a
Final Cut Express system, Mac Pro. I will be editing videos such as
weddings that will be recorded in DVCAM format and input to the
computer via a DSR-30 deck. I will be purchasing a Mac Pro Dual Xeon
system. Any minimum ram requirements or space? Also the lest rendering
time the better, preferably real time.

    Thank You

  2. Matrox used to have a version for the Mac, but i think it was rather
dodgy. Your best bet would be one of the Blackmagic cards, which has
    plug-ins for FCP.

    cheers
