I have a programme that I've recorded from the TV. The file size if 5.6 GB,
so it's too big to go on my standard single layered DVD discs.

So I was wondering if there are any freeware programs that would allow me to
cut down the size to something that I can record to DVD.

    Thanks (in advance)

Is that how they make those little 8cm discs for cameras from the big 12m
    ones?

    ;o)

Just go ahead an author it with VSO ConvertXtoDVD and it will automatically
make it fit a normal DVD5. If you can burn DVD9 then you can instruct it to
    do that also.
