Could someone tell me a good resource (book, etc.) that gives a detailed
description on how to create a full license plate (not just the text) using
    Photoshop?

Looking for something to mask the plate on your get away car?

What you're asking is really easy...if you're at all familiar with PS
-- except the part where you might want to print using those
    reflective inks.

You don't need a book to do it.

I think the California Penal System can add insight here.

Try layer effects, at the bottom of the layers palette, and choose bevel and
drop shadow. Start out with a flat rectangle, add a small color border
inside, add the text, and then add a bevel and drop shadow to the broder and
    text.

And leave my name out of the papers. I'll totally deny knowing you. :)

I can't seem to find it on Amazon. Could such a book possibly exist?

Which state? And if it's Florida - home of the most specialty plates of any other state -
    which plate?

Sure, make sure you get caught and I believe they run a course in most
    US penal systems.
