Has anyone used or recommend these? What kind of pictures does it produce?
What about the rings that will allow you to mount two lenses together? Is it
dangerous to do that? Wouldn't it put a lot of weight on the first lenses
    focusing ring?

    Just curious.

    thanks

  2. Can refer to two different items. One is a ring that sets the diaphram
to the set appature rather than wide open on some types.

The other is a mount ring that screws into the front of the lenes and
mounts to the body or more likley, bellows. They are used when you are
working at more than 1:1 mag, so as to reduce lens aberations.

Does "traditional setup" include a bona fide macro lens?
