    Hi all,

    I've just posted a review of Realviz Stitcher, which plays quite nicely
    with Photoshop:
    <http://www.dimagemaker.com/article.php?articleID=443>

    Also a reminder that there are two competitions currently going with
    prizes on DIMi:
    Panorama and
    Multi-image collage
    Neither cost anything to enter and you can use any software you want to
    do the images:
    <http://www.dimagemaker.com/competitions.php>
    Both are monthly competitions with monthly prizes and a grand prize at
    the end.

    Cheers,

    Wayne

    Stitcher is US$580. This was the version I tested. Stitcher Express is
    US$119.

    Of course you can win them in the monthly panorama competition on DIMi.

    Cheers,

    Wayne

    Is it better or as good as the free version of autostitch ?

    I haven't looked at autostitch but I'll go get the free version and
    have a look. Because I am more Mac than PC here, I tend to concentrate
    on crossplatform products. But I've downloaded it and I'll giv eit a go
    and let you know.

  7. It seems a French company has licensed the autostitch algorithms for use
    in Autopano Pro. I've just started giving the demo a try. Seems to have
    lot's of features, but given what little time I've had driving it, it's a
    bit rough around the edges. Definitely a 1.x release.

    Are we talking about the same program? Is this what has been used in
    Autopano Pro? http://www.autopano.net/

    Not only a bit rough around the edges, but (as the name suggests) not
    enough manual control, which leaves you fiddling with whatever controls
    there are. until the result is totally unacceptable. But I do like its
    search function. Name a directory and the program will find (and preview)
    all candidates for stitching. It comes up with a lot of surprises and
    'revolutionary insights', panoramas that you never ever dreamed of. That's
    a feature I really like.
