do you mean lenses from a ricoh film slr?

those lenses were pentax k-mount (actually, slightly modified from
pentax k-mount), and won't fit a nikon slr. even if they could be
mounted with some sort of adapter, the camera would not meter with
    them.

    You have understood well.

This means it could only work in full manual mode...
if a "sort of adapter" would exist.

This would be of course a strong limitation...
but the objectif I am thinking about is a sigma mirror telephoto f=1000mm...

Thanks a lot for your help !

There's another issue, the Nikon body is about a millimeter thicker than
the Ricoh body and you have to add the thickness of the adapter on top
of that, so you lose infinity focus.

  6. If he wants to use a 1000 mm mirror lens, what is the point of getting
    a 50 mm?

I've got one of those old Sigma mirror lenses.
Mine came with a T2 adapter, which is very simple to replace.

Check out if the mount on the Sigma is fixed, or if it is a T2.
If it is the latter, a F-mount T2 adapter is all that is
needed. This will take care of the register distance problem
    as well.

Btw. My Sigma mirror lens is horrible, not really worth salvaging,
    but YMMV.

except that a nikon 50mm f/1.8 doesn't go for that cheap on ebay
(lowest closed auction right now is $33 for a manual focus not
including shipping fees), and even if it did, it is totally irrelevant
since he wants to use a sigma 1000mm telephoto lens.

furthermore, i've never seen a pentax k-mount lens to nikon f body
adapter (and i've looked) if you know of one, please point it out.
all i've seen is a pentax m42 screw mount to nikon f, both with and
without a corrective optic for the infinity focus issue.

  8. You wouldn't have infinity focus as the K-mount is slightly larger than
the Nikon F-mount. The lens will as a close-up lens only.

The Sigma mirror may be a T-mount, if so just get a Nikon T mount and
    swap the mount.
