Road Atlanta After Thoughts

  1. It was hot and muggy as hell there but man do I love watching the races. Of
course there is not much watching going on when you are trying to take
pictures too. I shot about 1500 pictures over the three days I was there.
I am almost finished going thru them to weed out the totally awful ones. I
have one more memory card to sort thru which I will do tonight and hopfully
get the decent ones up in my gallery so you guys can take a look at them and
give me some feedback. Some of them I looked at I knew right off the bat
they were no good and what I had done wrong.

I think someone mentioned how hard it is to get a good photo of a motorcycle
going by you at 200mph. Sir you were so right. Towards the end, I began to
get the hang of it and ended up with a few decent shots...at least I think
    they are decent.

I did get some very good shots of the riders in the pits and while they were
signing autographs. Wasn't able to get out onto the track to get close ups
of the umbrella girls but I was able to get close enough to photograph them
    coming off the track.

Thanks for everyone who gave me advice.
