S-video input to firewire DV output camcorder?

Which camcorder will do this? S-video input to DV output. The HI8-DV
    Sony?
S-video is fine but capture is not great with my capture card. I don't
have a DV firewire camcorder but I do have a JVC s-video output only DV
    camcorder ( the original one)

A camcorder that will take S-video input and outputs DV firewire would
solve both my needs. Camcorder DV firewire never drops frames.

I don't see the need for the converter that only converts s-video to DV
-- costs too much and I already have a S-video to USB 1.1 but the
quality is not as good as Firewire DV.

I don't think that the Sony HI-8 DV will playback my existing library of
100's of DV tapes of the past 5 years that were recorded XL-1.

    Thanks for all help

  2. My Canon Elura 2MC does this, I think all the Sony 8mm DV cameras do
also. Right now I have a Samsung Hi8 going into my Elura 2mc which is
going into my firewire card and then out to the DVD writer. There's a
lot of humming going on in that room :)

  3. My wife has a new ZR65MC and it has Analog/Digital conversion so you can
piggyback the cords like that (both Canon, go fig) But you can also spit DV
back to the camcorder and output in Analog for recording on VHS-C etc
