Replaced the batteries on Nikon SB-28 and everything on the LCD screen
started blinking. No matter what I do or what combination of buttons
pressed ....... even one recommendation to "to hold the on/off button
down and keep it held down while closing the battery cover." .....
    nothing works.

    Any suggestions?...

  2. Put the old batteries back in.....(Just kidding...)

  3. You might try the following. - Remove the batteries, and then short the
terminals together for a few seconds.....This allows/forces any capacitance
in the electronics to discharge. Then remove the short and replace it with
    the new batteries.

Tried that. Also put it in a plastic bag and placed it in the freezer
Just now I tried a 3rd set of batteries. (First Duracells, then
Energizers, the Sony). Got a lot of fresh batteries rolling around the
table but the SB-28 just keeps on blinking when I put them in.
