I've used my trusty AGFA Snapscan E40 for a good few years now and had
    excellent results.

Well, I had some building work done so part of my kit i.e. the scanner was
neatly packed away into a box then into the loft where it stayed for about 3
months...now today I got it back out, connected it up....re-installed the
software , connected it all up................and............red and green
lines over the right hand side of the scanned image.

    Hmmmm

    Have I damaged the scanner?

Is something else to blame ?

    Can I repair anything?

    Or...

Is it time to buy a new scanner ?

All suggestions/help will be greatly received......

    DB :)

SORTED................I had the wrong adapter plugged into it, so I swapped
it with a beefier one with a higher voltage (the correct one!) and it works
    fine.

    GREATTTTT STUFF,,
