    Hi all,

I would like to know what mainly determines the speed of scanner. Is the
speed normally depend on scanner ? Is the speed of the computer also a
    determining factor ?

Normally how long can one page of document be scanned ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for replying.

Looks like there isn't "Enhanced Host Controller". I suppose then I have a
    USB 1.1 :)

    Thanks for the info.

That may have been true early on, but no more.
For example, brand new XP box here, USB 2 only described as:
Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller

My old 98SE box, to which I added a USB 2.0 card, did indeed show the
"enhanced" notation for those added ports.

O goody, that might mean I have USB 2 as well.

I have a USB at the back of the tower and 2 slots at the front. I may even
have more than 1 at the back - not sure though.

    Interesting.
    I have 6 USB ports, all 2.0.
Why would a mobo maker have both, since 2.0 bus is okay with 1.1
    devices?
