SD1200 and preset conditions

    I have 2 questions:

    1) I just purchased a Canon SD1200 and reading through the PDF users manual
I see that there are a bunch of preset shooting setups that include "beach",
"fireworks", "snow", etc. Yet when I go through the menus on the SD1200 I
can only find the following 6 presets:
P, Portrait, Night snapshot, kids and pets, indoor, and sunset.

Anyone know how to access the many other presets which the PDF lists under
    the grouping "Special conditions"?

    2) I have heard that Canon digital cameras produce images that are grainier
than some other brands like Sony under low light conditions. Is there a way
to mitigate that when I need to shoot under low light conditions?

    Thank you.

    Canon.....
