Should I invest in a new Canon body or Zoom Lens?

    I have a Canon D60 with a Canon EF 28-105 3.5-4.5 zoom and a Canon 75-300 IS
zoom. I just upgraded to a Canon 70-300 IS zoom. However, I am still looking
for "sharper" photo's. I am considering another upgrade to either a Canon
D20 or D30 body or an "L" zoom lens, both which are in the $1400 range.

If I discount the added functionality one gets with a D20 or D30 over the
D60 and consider just image quality of say an 8x10 photo, where would I most
likely get the best image quality improvement - in the new body or a new "L"
    lens?

    Thanks

Intrigued to hear that as it has always been a problem for me - the
other D60 owner on this planet <g> - any thoughts on the difference in
electronic noise at higher ISO settings?
