yuck, what part of the world did it once that size from. Good horror
    value.

He was using speech recognition and I'm taking it to mean "what part of
the world did one that size come from?"

It's a Madagascan Giant Hissing Cockroach. His name is Edgar.

Of course the six part is from his six legs.

He's not really as large as he appears in the photo. I got the magazine
covers from the web, downsized them and printed them on glossy paper. I
then pasted them onto a note pad and a pamphlet.

Here's a picture of the magazine covers along with an AA battery.

If you can call him that, he's not very interested in companionship. ;)
I bought him as a photographic model and I figured he was something I
    was capable of caring for.

He's harmless; they don't bite, fly or stink and are recommended as pets
for young children. He eats ground up dog kibble. One kibble lasts him
about a couple of months. Cost $2 plus $5 shipping on the web.

Here's a page showing the photographic setup and his house.

    Thanks!
    I'm glad you're easily amused. ;)

P.S. Could you please tell me if you got popup ads on my page.
It was made with trellix site builder. I used their free service a
couple of years ago and there were pop-ups. This time it is supplied by
my ISP and I'm hoping that there are no popups.

Thanks a lot. I hate popups and don't like to propagate them.

  11. I hate being Down Under ...all the action happens when I am not here and I
have to wait 24 Hours to say something!

Edgar, ... not from MIB ? hehe!

I don't like him big... he gives me the creeps... and I thought we had all
the nasty looking creepies in OZ.

I would love to see him at his natural size... He would make a good Ellipse.

That's for the explanation, you are very cleaver doing the Mag reduction
    think...COOL

Andrew .....come on you guys...Wake UP !

  12. You got it. One of my favorites. I hope there's a MIB III.
I'm sorry Linda Fiorentino wasn't in MIB II. She's also one of my
    favorites.
Just pretend there's an AA battery next to him. ;)
    Thanks a lot.
Thanks also for the popup report.

  14. Sneaky. I like it! Here I was thinking that, of all the massive bugs
I'd seen (including Goliath Beetles, though not firsthand), this one was
    still frickin' huge. Nice leg-pull!

And you probably should know, one of my occasionaly-repeated catch-
phrases is "Awww, you guys are ruining everything!" (towards the end of the
movie - of course it has to be delivered in that voice).
