I went to look at a shoulder pod. While they certainly are useful and I do
want one, I decided against it.

Every one had the look of a gun stock. Pre 9-11 I wouldn't have given it a
thought. Now, I just don't want the hassle. I have a vision of some blue
haired lady or Milwaukee tourist calling the police and being told to throw
my gear on the ground. :-(

I will probably settle for the Novaflex chest pod.

  2. I have one I would part with that has no "solid" parts - it
is thin structural members only (lotsa "air", so it doesn't
    look like a gun...;-)

Thanks, I looked at the Bush Hawk, which has no solid parts. I may have been
influenced by comments from one of my friends. The stock, even though it is
not solid reminded me of the light guns carried by some police officers in
    Penn Station.

I will feel more comfortable with the Novaflex.

    Too many dead people.
Do you really think that a gun is a penis substitute?

That comment is truly comical. The president is a lifelong athlete whose
superb physical condition greatly belies his age. But the fattest, flabbiest
high school couch potato could easily slouch into the woods after class with
his .22 and bang away at rabbits and squirrels. Whatever the point you were
trying to make, you didn't make it.

A sense of humor and an appreciation of irony are valuable components of the
enjoyment of life, Alan. Don't let yours waste away from lack of use.
