Slide projectors - Leica vs. Fomei?

Discussion in '35mm Cameras' started by Tomas Daniska, Jul 9, 2004.

  1. Hello world

OK I admit I'm probably starting a new flamewar...

A friend of mine just had a sleepless night deciding between Fomei AF 150 IR
    and Leica P 150 IR

Is anyone willing to help him? :)

    thanks

I must admit, I never heard of Fomei. I use Zeiss Royal AF
and Rollei Twin MSC. The Zeiss is virtually identical to
the present Leica Pradovit, made by the same company.

Important is as always the glass. I think that you cannot
go wrong by getting a Leica :)

The Leica 150 model is not a "real" Leica. It can be found identical with
    other brand
names on it. My suggestion is to go up and get the Leica P 600 IR which is
    built on a
metal base (plactic on top). And the get the Colorplan 90/2.5 lens. It is a
    little more
expensive....but you will not regret. From time to time I see the P 600 IR +
Colorplan used at a price level about EUR 400.
