I am tossing the idea around of scanning my own slides instead of farming
the job out. Has anyone have any experience with the Minolta DiMAGE Scan
Elite 5400 and /or the CoolScan V ED? I would appreciate all comments
    regarding your experience and opinions..

Creativity is so delicate a flower that praise tends to make it bloom, while
discouragement often nips it in the bud. Any of us will put out more and

Hey there, Grant, I haven't used those myself, but there's been some
discussion of them here, and you might want to search google archives to see
    what you can find.

I have the DSE 5400. Great. The Nikons that are in the same class
(albeit a hair shy of the 5400) are the 4000/5000 (for 35mm). You will,
after some learning curve, get great results with either brand.

Visit or Google away on the comp.periphs.scanners group.

    Cheers,
    Alan.
