small battery charger for canon 1D mark II?

  1. I'm looking for a small battery charger for Canon 1D Mark II
batteries. The unit that came with the camera is very large
but it does connect up to two batteries. I'm looking for a small
charger for travel. Charging one battery would be fine.
    Do you know of one?

    Thanks

  2. You may want to keep an eye on Lenmar (http://www.lenmar.com).
Although it's not mentioned, but they are introducing an alternative
battery for the NP-E3 battery (Lenmar Model: DMCE3). It could mean
they will eventually produce a compact charger for it as well (=pure
speculation). Perhaps an e-mail to them could shed some light on it.

    http://www.ansmann.de/en/index.htm?view=list&pr2id=14 has several
traveller models for (NiMH and other) battery packs, although the
proprietary(?) plug to connect to the NP-E3 is not included. Maybe it
could be obtained as a service part from Canon?

Would also be interested if you find something useable.
