Well with peace keeping you have to socialise with the locals and have a
suitable "offices" in town, barracks in the country and some from of
amphibious transport. We may only just break even on the 750K especially
    with humanitarian projects etc.....

So that is a couple of apartments in town, a couple of villas in the
country, a couple of cars and a yacht. It will be tight the first year.

We will also have to hire secretaries (to write up the reports)

I will take a chance on being blown up :))))

That's your routine. Maybe you should see what Graham wrote before
making a bigger idiot of yourself.

No schmuck that is your routine, duck, bob and weave, name calling but
    nothing of substance.

This is a rare, very rare, instance of Ray Fischer being right.
Godwin's Law specifically relates to a mention of Hitler or Nazis.
Mike Godwin himself explains it at
    http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/2.10/godwin.if.html

If you wish to invoke something similar relating to a mention of
Mussolini or Fascists, you could make it Campbell's Corollary or some
    such.
You are either being excessively, and undeservedly, kind or you are
simply not paying attention. Your statement implies that Ray has
offered something of substance, but not recently. I don't recall him
    *ever* offering anything of substance.

So you mention fascists already. Godwin's. Thread ended.

Graham is a liar. And as further evidence of his lack of morals he
thinks that killing people by the hundreds of thousands is justified
by simply accusing leaders of being tyrants.

I wonder how graham would ract if some other nation decided that Bush
was a criminal and needed to be removed from office by force. What
would graham say if some other nation invaded the US and killed a
quarter million people in order to impose a new government?
I certainly don't think that killing innocent people by the thousands
is justified by the ample use of propaganda. That you do reveals you
    to be a gullible idiot.
    Criminals? Like Bush?

And Bush murdered a quarter million in just a couple of years.

So what makes you any different?

  9. What makes you think I'd be a better politician than the millions who
    came to the same conclusions?

I also note that most of the high ranking politicians in the UK who
voiced the same opinions found that doing so had a bad effect on their
political career. I also note that when the anonymous British expert
on Saddam's weaponry who leaked similar suspicions to the BBC was
unmasked as the very knowledgeable and highly respected Dr Kelly, he
"committed suicide" unexpectedly in suspicious circumstances, and
the head of the BBC was forced to resign.

How did the US treat those of its high ranking politicians who drew
attention to the facts suggesting that the public was being hoodwinked
    by the warmongers?

According to data drawn from the US Census Bureau's International Database,
Iraq's average life expectancy in 2000 was 66.5 years
    (http://geography.about.com/library/weekly/aa042000b.htm). According to the
Population Resource Bureau, in 2007 it was 57 years
    (http://www.prb.org/Countries/Iraq.aspx).

You cannot be serious. Bush had no greater ally in the media than Fox which
routinely and deliberately ran his adminstration's line at every
opportunity. What you call "questioning authority" is nothing more than
their equally deliberate policy of attacking Obama at every possibility
    regardless of the facts.

In the case of Scott Ritter (ex USMC and UN inspector) he found himself
in the middle of a trumped up pedophile charge all of which disappeared
in the following months but it finished his career.

I not Colin Powell also said much of the evidence was false. In fact
quite a few on retirement and getting out have spilled the beans

Your government is made up of elected officials and appointees of
those officials. The public elects the officials. The officials are
(supposedly) following the course of action that reflects the will of
the people and what is best for them. Just like ours.

  17. You can visit as a tourist and travel on your lonesome. You need to
supply a letter to the Afghan embassy along with your visa
application form explaining why you are going. Straightforward.

There is a Lonely Planet book on Afghanistan which I found extremely
    valuable. Also look here:

Which explains the largest ever demonstration protest in the UK was the
anti-war protest. About 2 million or about 20% of the voting
    population.

The politicians were not representing the wishes of the people.

The will of the people and what is best for the people are not necessarily
the same. You seem to be confusing the delegate model of the role of the
elected official with the representative model. Of course, it's an argument
as old a Parliament itself and will never be resolved to everyone's
    satisfaction.
