    I like the photos too. To me that bird looks like a yellow crowned night
    heron or a hunched down snowy egret.

    Those are nice pictures, but you're insufficiently selective. If you were
    under contract to the Virginia Bridge and Tunnel Authority and were submitting
    the set for their review, it might be highly appropriate. Here, though, the
    pervasive sameness detracts from your artistic message. Divide the shots into
    similarity groups, and then show us the best shot from each group. You'll get
    your point across more strongly and succinctly.

    Your point is well taken. The same principle applies to cropping. Quite
    often, in photography less is more.
