Source for Minolta repair part?

Discussion in 'Minolta' started by Scott Schuckert, Nov 30, 2003.

  1. All I really need is the battery door/cover for a Minolta XD-5 (same as
the XD-7 or 11) Anyone know a good source?

Also, any other sources for foam light seals, or should I just buy from
    micro-tools?

    Thanks!

Check out any local repair shops for the battery cover.

I've used foamies which can be found at Wal-Mart.

  3. If you aren't in a hurry, you can also watch the eBay sales.
Occasionally a junker body will come up for sale, and go for something
    like $20.
Foamies are found in the craft section at Wal-Mart. They are something
like a dollar a sheet, but are slightly more dense than the original
foam. The MicroTools low density "import" foam is closer to the real
thing, but you will end up paying a lot more for it, with the necessary
shipping charge, unless you need so of their other products.
