I have a Canon EOS 33 and I want to buy a speedlite.
    I found a 540EX used at 220euro, seems a good price...
I can't find anywhere if it is able to work only at 1/125 or I can use
it at high speed (1/4000) like the 420 or the 550
    Can you help me?

And do you think is better to buy the 420 (550 is too expensive for
me) or is better the used 540 (seems new and have 2 year warranty)
I don't mind if the only problem whit 540 is the incompatibility with
    digital cameras

Thank You and sorry for my English

The 540EZ is old tech Canon flash, compatible with the older Canon bodies
    like the 5, 100, 1n, etc. The 420 EX and 550EX utilize the E-TTL
capabilities of the 33, which the 540EZ does not.
As far as I know, there is no 540EX model.
