We have a linear editing suite which has a Pinnacle alladin. However,
it is failing and we are looking for a replacement. We are not looking
for a NLE because we have 2 NLE suites already and need someing
similar to the Alladin for several clients. Hoping to spend $2000-3000
US. Does anybody have suggestions other then the video toaster?

I have an alladin box sat here doing nothing if you want it...!
Bought it at an auction 2 years ago, without a dongle, and never been
able to use the damn thing. Pinnacle wouldn't even reply to my letters
and e.mails when i tried to buy a dongle from them. I have fired it up
using a borrowed dongle and it seems to be in good working order..
If you sre determined to upgrade and want to pass on your dongle, please
let me know. I'd love to actually use the thing..!!!
    regards

  7. I Know Paul personally, used to live not far from his place of biz, and
he's a terrific guy, even if he doesn't return my messages often;-)
If you have ANY questions about the Alladin etc he is THE guy, bar
none. He's also a great VAR with exceptional support for turnkey
    editing systems.
