Sunpak 433d & Minolta X570 TTL

Discussion in 'Minolta' started by Fred St. John, Jul 3, 2004.

  1. I've just acquired a used Sunpak 433D dedicated to MF Minolta TTL. I
got the manual with the flash, but even though the illustration in the
manual shows the flash with the Minolta TTL module, there's no mention
anywhere in the manual about how to use the flash with TTL dedication.
There's an A-B switch on the base which is also not mentioned in the
    manual.

Can anyone tell me what settings on the flash I need to make to use it
TTL with my X-570? I assume there was originally some sort of
supplement to the manual for the particular camera, but if so it's
been lost by the previous owner.

Also, if the supplement exists and someone has it, I'd greatly
appreciate a scanned copy (it's probably only a page or two).

    Thanks,

    Fred

    A / B Switch on Sunpak 433D

I just noticed this switch myself & was looking for an answer when I saw your post.
There was one very small extra page with this information in the literature that I received.
They refer to this switch as the "dedicate selector switch".

    For Maxxum 9000, 7000 & 5000 Set the switch to "B".

    For X700 set to "A".

    For X-600, X-570 (X-500), X-370 (X-300), XD Series, X-7, X-70 & R4MOT set the switch to the "B" position.

    I hope this helps. deadrockers

I tried to scan this very small paragraph, but the size limitations for this forum seem to be too small for a low resolution copy. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
