I am interested in starting an informal photo walk in the SW Iowa area, This would include NW Missouri and SE Nebraska too. But the walk would be located in Iowa at least the first one.

Any one interested can post here and we can start to work out the details.

I am looking for any assistance anyone can give me as well. We are kind of alone out here and I have not had much luck finding anything near by so I decided to do it myself. My rough itinerary is Pick a spot to shoot spend anhour or two shooting. Everyone meet up after at some location, for say lunch or dinner, then share the images. I have the projector and computer. forthat too.

I also have the ability to host/design/manage a website if things take off and we want to do a regular thing.

I would like this to be an information sharing walk. We can all learn from each other.

    Thanks

    Kevin

I think you picked the wrong forum. There are about 10 old guys that
hang around here from the US, and I don't think any of them are from
the midwest. Well, one guy up in Wisconsin, and another in Tennessee.

I believe the group of "old fart shooters" along with some of the other
usual suspects to be found in these photo-groups from the lower 48 of
the USA, are to be found spread over Texas, Florida, NY, MA, CA, CT,
    TN, VA, among others.

Another group the OP could canvas for participants might be
alt.binaries.photos.original I believe there are some in that group who
    hail from MO and NE.

What's this about "old guys"? I could do a Photo Walk. Provided, of
course, that the rest rooms are spaced no more than 200 yards apart
and there are benches along the route.

If that is your problem Tony, I have a solution contained in two words,
    "adult diapers".

Actually, there's a storm chaser from Nebraska who occasionally pops
in here. Sorry I forgot about him.
A photo walk with him would be a walk on the wild side!

Kevin - keep me posted - not that I am saying I will do this (time is of the
essence), but I do live in Iowa - NE corner.

Ah! So there IS an Iowa contingent! Post pictures after the photo
    walk.

I had an uncle who lived in Leon Iowa, and I spent several summers
there as a child doing slave labor on a farm. Surprisingly, I still
    have fond memories.
