The key link between film and digital (was "How Kodak can be competitive")

Discussion in 'Kodak' started by richardsfault, May 22, 2004.

  1. What I would like more than anything is to keep using my trusty XG-7
and lens collection and have film cheaply processed and immediately
scanned without having to pay for prints. All I want back is a CD or
online picture download with carefully sleeved negatives that should
not have to be touched again. It is very annoying to have to get
    prints along with them!

If the cost could be kept low enough, it would be serious competition
    with the still costly DSLR's.

Are large scale processing machines being modifed to scan on the back
end rather than print. It seems that it should be completely possible.

Few analog and digital technologies marry as well as they do in
    photography.

Some people claim that there's a woman to blame, but I think it's all...

    Richard's fault!
