The ultimate solution to scanning negatives with the Minolta 5400(and similar)

    Previously I've put up some examples of how the Minolta 5400 performs with the
    supplied software. I've also shown some interim solutions to the problem of
    clipping of the high values by this software.

    My latest tip gives a suggested workflow that solves all the issues. It uses
    Viewscan to capture the full range of values with a minimum of adjustments and
    then the image editor to set the dynamic range and color balance.

    Look at the bottom of my tips section for all three discussions.
