    I have created a DVD video using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 SE bundled
    with the Pioneer A105 DVD burner. I have created a menu with 9
    thumbnails. The menu shows up OK on my DVD player. The problem is, to
    play the 1st thumbnail, I have to press "2" on the remote control. To
    Play the 2nd thmbnail, I have to press "3", .... I have tried on a
    number of DVD players in the shops. They all do the same. Is there any
    fix to this inconsistency?

    Any relevant information would be appreciated.

    Maybe you checked the mark that says something like "play first clip
    automatic..." It's placed on top left side of the slides where you
    import the video-clips.

    When doing that the first clip is not show'n in the menu ! Making the
    1st icon in the menu the 2nd clip on the DvD. Fools me every time...

    Do you mean the "First clip as first play video" checkbox? I did not
    check it and the first clip icon / thumbnail is displayed OK. My
    problem is, when one press "1" on the remote, it does nothing. when
    one press "2", it plays the first clip (beginning of the whole disk).

    I have the same problem.. Checking the play first video button will
    automatically play the first video, does nothing for the numbering.. So I
    quit using the numbers and deal with the scroll buttons
