Yesterday at a ballgame I was having trouble attaching the camera to the
tripod. When I looked at the bottom of the camera, the socket for the
tripod was missing all 3 screws that should be securing it. Damned if I
know what happened, but where could I pick up some replacements? There's
no camera repair shop within 100 miles, although there's a Wolfe Camera
shop about 45 miles away. Anyone got any bright ideas for a quick solution?

  2. Not exactly sure what the size is or what format (metric or SAE....but
my money is on metric) you are looking for.
However, try a local hobby store. They deal in very small hardware.
Add a dab of blue Loctite to the screws.

I would call Canon (Customer Service) and tell them what your problem
is. I'm sure they would send you (via mail) your parts needed. I'm sure
they would not charge you for your inconvience as well.
You would spend too much time to try locating the correct screws
(as you have none to compare it to) and possibly damage your expensive
GL2 if screws were too long etc.

Thanks for the replies. I tried locally, jewelery stores and such, no
luck. Called Canon and it was very simple and straightforward, almost no
hold time at all, and they mailed me the screws at no charge.
